Managing Workspaces#

Hint
In order to create workspaces at the top hierarchy level, you must have been assigned the system role “System Administrator” or “System Manager” (see System Roles & User Interface)
Allegra manages items in workspaces. Workspaces have a type that determines a large part of the workspace configuration (see Workspace Types). Workspaces can be hierarchically structured and for example be used for projects, products, or organizational structures.
Workspaces can be divided into phases over time, e.g., to represent releases, sprints, or backlogs (see Managing Releases, Backlogs, Sprints, and Milestones (Phases)). In this section, you will learn how you can manage workspaces and configure settings related to workspaces.
With the appropriate permissions, you can create, configure, modify, and delete workspaces. Workspaces can be completely newly created, derived as a copy from another workspace, or based on Workspace Templates.
Workspaces control access to the items contained in them. The control is carried out via roles that you assign to users. For the billing of efforts, you can assign accounts to workspaces.
