Changing the Cockpit Layout#

The user-specific cockpit consolidates all important information about all workspaces of interest to a user. Each user can freely choose the widgets to display and their position.

Note

All changes to the cockpit are immediately saved in the database.

As a system administrator, you can save cockpits as templates and assign these templates to users (see Cockpit Templates).

  1. To change your personal cockpit, click on the wrench icon located below the profile picture on the right.

  2. The screen will change, and a list of all available widgets will appear on the right side.

  3. You can use the buttons to add, modify, and delete tabs and panels.

  4. For tabs, you can label the tab by selecting the tab and then typing the desired label into the box on the right in the field named “Beschriftung”.

  5. Widgets are always placed on panels. You can set the size of each panel by dragging it down or to the right from the middle of the edge.

  6. You can place widgets by dragging them from the box at the bottom right to the desired grid position. You can move widgets by dragging them to their new position.

  7. When you are finished, press the “Fertig” icon in the toolbar.

You will be brought back to the regular view of the cockpit page. You will see your newly designed layout.

Hint

Some widgets have an “automatically adjust height” checkbox. If this is checked, the height of the widget will automatically adjust so that no scrollbar is needed.
