Configuring Widgets#

Some widgets require configuration, e.g., project parameters, date parameters, or status parameters.

  • On the cockpit page, click on the wrench icon in the top right corner under the profile picture.

  • The screen changes, and a floating box appears on the right side, with a list of all available widgets.

  • Right-click on the widget you want to configure. If a widget can be configured, a “Configure” option will appear in the context menu.

  • The form that appears depends on the type of widget. Make the appropriate changes and save them.

  • You will be brought back to the cockpit design page. When you are finished, click on the “Back” icon in the toolbar.

You have modified the cockpit. You now see the cockpit configured with the new settings and widgets.

  • Activity Stream: This widget shows you the latest activities on items that you can determine through a filter.

  • Traffic Light Diagram: The traffic light diagram vividly represents the status of a project in terms of its schedule adherence, its effort and its quality. The criteria for red, yellow and green can be chosen.

  • Meetings: Projects require meetings in which the project status is discussed and a list of action items is created. In Allegra, there is a special item type “meeting”. The widget described here gives you a list of all your meetings and the associated action items.

  • Budget Overview: The “Budget Overview” widget gives you a quick overview of the current project or release status. In a table, you see summaries for all overdue items, items due this week, items due next week, and all remaining items.

  • Average Processing Duration: The “Average Processing Duration” widget graphically represents the time items have needed from their creation to their completion for a reporting period and the reporting intervals it contains.

  • Modified Files: This widget shows you all the files that have been changed for a specific version. This only works if you have connected your version control system to Allegra and added the corresponding item numbers in the comment when transferring changes to your version control system.

  • Calendar: The calendar widget shows you the start and end dates of a filtered set of items, if they exist.

  • Filtered Item Overview: This widget allows you to display a list of items with their item number and title, based on a pre-configured query. This is helpful, for example, if you want to display the most recently changed items in your widget, instead of explicitly running a query each time.

  • Manager List: This widget gives you a quick overview of the number of open and closed points, grouped by priority and grouped by responsible, for each project.

  • Milestone Trend Analysis: This graphical widget allows you to observe the date development of important items over time.

  • My Filters: This widget provides you with a list of query filters that you can execute by clicking on them. This gives you the corresponding list of items in the item overview.

  • My Items: To get a quick overview of how many items related to you are not yet completed, the “My Items” widget is well suited. It clearly shows how many items you are either the original author or the current responsible or the current manager.

  • My Watchlist: This widget gives you a list of items where you are listed as either an editor or reader. You can also disconnect from these items here.

  • Project Navigator: The project navigator offers you a series of quick links to get the information you need most often. You can, for example, run reports, retrieve all items or just the recently added items, see how many items are in which state, or see which team member is assigned to how many items. The project navigator automatically works for the respective project when used within a project cockpit, and it automatically works for the respective release when used within a release cockpit.

  • Project Overview: This widget gives you an overview of your projects and releases. You can configure which projects and releases you want to consider. You can group the items by various aspects, such as priority, item status, current responsible, etc. As with all other views, you can of course also have multiple instances in your cockpit, for example one grouped by responsible and one grouped by status.

  • Release Notes: The “Release Notes” widget gives you a list of all open and already completed items in a release, grouped by item type.

  • Quick Search: With the help of the “Quick Search” widget, you can create a filtered item list based on the criteria Room/Project, Item Type and Status.

  • Version Control Activities: This widget allows you to see the last X commits for a series of projects, where you can configure X and the projects to be considered.

  • Status over Time: With this graphical cockpit widget, you can visualize the development of your project over time. The change in the number of items per status can be a good indication of how close you are to project completion and can give you information about the workload to be managed.

  • Two-Dimensional Project Statistics: With this widget, you can create a matrix of numbers of items based on two arbitrary item attributes. You can, for example, display which user has assigned how many items in which state as responsible. You can limit the items to be considered with any predefined filter.
