Creating reports#
Allegra offers three ways to deliver meaningful reports based on the data available in the system:
A data source interface (JSON API) for Microsoft PowerBI
A built-in report engine based on JasperReports
Excel-based report templates
You can create reports in various formats such as PDF, Excel or MS Word based on report templates and data sources. You can design your own JasperReports report templates and Excel report templates and integrate them into the system.
Evaluations in reports can be more complex than the sets of items that you can define with item filters. For example, in reports you can also filter and evaluate values in the change history.
Both the JasperReports reporting engine and the MS Power BI engine are based on data sources and report templates that determine how the information delivered by the data sources is presented.
You create reports with MS Power BI or based on existing JasperReports report templates.
