Task Management#
Allegra supports you in setting up a professional collaborative task management system. For this purpose, there is a range of functions and views which are described here.
Items can be divided into plannable and non-plannable items. The non-plannable items can be further divided into externally initiated items and internally initiated items.
We call the plannable items tasks. The non-plannable, externally initiated items we call tickets. The internally initiated items, e.g. resulting from meetings, we call action points.
When we have chosen the term “task management” as a heading, it implies the understanding that it is about managing all possible items, not just the tasks defined as plannable here.
Allegra allows you to
Create, edit and delete tasks of various types
Assign tasks
Delegate tasks
Be reminded of due or overdue tasks
Attach documents to tasks
Organize tasks in hierarchical structures
The item overview offers a number of views that are helpful for task management:
-
The “Flat List” view allows you to group and sort items by almost any item attribute. In addition, the view mode can be set to “Browse” so that even large amounts of items are manageable.
-
The tree view shows the item hierarchy and allows you to display long text fields such as the item description and comments.
-
The hierarchical view is similar to the tree view, but allows you to define the order of the items at each structural level. It does not support grouping and does not display long text fields.
-
With the task board or Agile board, you can display your items as small cards that you can assign to other employees by moving them or change their status by moving them.
