Workspace roles and permissions#
sysman sysadmin
Through workspace roles, Allegra controls which actions users may perform in workspaces and with items.
You assign a workspace role to a user for a specific workspace, thereby granting them specific rights. This lets you define, for example, whether a user may see other people’s items, which item attributes are visible, and whether they only see items of a certain type.
You create any number of workspace roles and name them freely. For each workspace role, you individually define which permissions apply.
Note
In addition to workspace roles, there are system roles. These determine what a user may do in the system and which controls they see at all.
-
As a system administrator, you add any number of workspace roles.

As a system administrator, you delete workspace roles.
Restricting access to item types
You restrict access to specific item types per role. By default, every role has access to all item types.
Restricting access to item attributes
You hide item attributes or make them read-only. By default, all attributes are visible and editable — except those whose change would not make sense.
