Exporting to an XML file

You export all information for the items shown in the item overview to a user-defined XML file.

The XML format is helpful when you design your own report templates. Allegra uses the same format internally. With it, you design report templates locally in JasperSoft Studio and test them with real data. Once the template works, you upload it to the server.

1. In the action menu, click the extension icon and choose Export > Export XML.

2. Download the XML file to your computer. You use it to create report templates in JasperSoft Studio.
