Finding items#

Over time, an Allegra database accumulates many thousands of items. Through filters, you determine which of them appear in the current view of the item browser.

You apply filters:

  • via the filter history

  • via the navigation pane on the left

  • via links from the cockpit

  • via AQL expressions in the full-text search at the top right

  • via the filter button in the context menu bar

You manage filters:

  • via the context menu in the navigation pane on the left

  • via the item browser button in the main menu

  • via the filter button in the context menu bar

  • via the administrator app, provided you have access

When you apply a filter, the items appear in the current view. You can link a filter to a view — Allegra then adopts the associated view as the current one.

If the current user has linked a view of their own to a filter, it takes precedence over assignments made by other users.
