Managing workspaces#
sysman sysadmin
Hint
To be able to create workspaces at the top hierarchy level, you must have been assigned the system role “system administrator” or “system manager” (see System roles & user interface)
Allegra manages items in workspaces. Each workspace has a type that predefines a large part of its configuration (see Workspace types). Workspaces can be structured hierarchically — for projects, products or organizational structures, for example.
Over time, you structure workspaces into phases to represent releases, sprints or backlogs (see Releases, sprints & backlogs).
To get a list of all workspaces accessible to you, go to Workspaces > Workspaces.
With the appropriate permissions, you create, configure, change and delete workspaces. There are three ways to a new workspace:
create it entirely from scratch
as a copy of an existing workspace
from Workspace templates
Workspaces control access to the items they contain. This control is exercised through roles that you assign to users. For billing efforts, you assign accounts to workspaces.
