Managing base calendars#

With the help of base calendars you can influence the availability of resources, for example predefined non-working days, public holidays and company closures. Resources such as employees can enter their days off or additional working days based on a base calendar.
To add or edit base calendars, go to Administration > Templates > Base calendars. You change the regular non-working weekdays using “Edit”. Using Add base exception you can add the following exceptions to the base calendar:
General non-working day
Recurring non-working day
General working day
The first type is suitable for public holidays that do not have a fixed date, such as Good Friday or Whit Monday. The second type is suitable for public holidays that always fall on the same date, such as 1 May (Labour Day) or 25 December (Christmas). The third type is suitable, for example, for special shifts or weekend work.
