Deleting a workspace

You delete a workspace together with all its sub-workspaces and items. This is the only way to remove information permanently from the database.

You need system administrator or system manager permissions.

Warning

Consider setting the workspace to “archived” instead of deleting it. An archived workspace disappears from lists and selection fields but remains in the database and can be restored. Deletion is irreversible — all data is removed permanently.

1. Go to Administration > Workspaces > Manage workspaces.

2. Point the mouse at the workspace you want to delete.

3. Choose Delete from the context menu.

4. Confirm the warning that appears (it only shows if the workspace contains items).

5. Confirm a second time.

6. Allegra deletes the workspace with all its sub-workspaces and items.

The server log records the deletion with date, time and user.
